The Foundation is glad to say that the objectives of the “Shyama Charan Lahiri Foundation”established on 16thoct 2006 are advancing in right direction and steadily moving  towards the fulfillment. It was felt that the writings of Lahiri Mahasaya should be preserved for a long time,so that the future generations may be benefitted by the work of Lahiri Mahasaya.Its value is unchanged in time.The personality,devotion and thoughts of Lahiri Mahasaya are available in his own hand writings.Saumya Acharyya, grand grand son of Lahiri Mahasaya felt it his sacred duty to preserve Hs work.This inspired him to begin the long journey to fulfill this purpose.

Therefore he visited Sri Raman Maharshi Archive at Tiruvannamalai in Tamilnadu,Sri Aurobindo Archive in Pondicherry and National Archive in Delhi.Finally he decided to construct an Archive following the model of Sri Ramana Archive.He stayed there for 20 days, and studied all the parameters of the work. Sri G. Ramani ,the chief incharge of Ramana Archive advised him to approach Dr. P Perumal, the chief conservator of Saraswati Mahal Library at Thajavur in Tamilnadu, and is attached to save Manuscript Mission under the National Manuscript Mission, which is governed by Ministry of Culture of India.
